Chronic Kidney Disease

Chronic kidney disease (CKD) is a long-term condition where the kidneys don't work as well as they should. Chronic kidney disease, also known as chronic kidney failure, is associated with a gradual loss of kidney function. The kidneys filter waste and excess water from the blood and remove it from the urine. Advanced chronic kidney disease can build up to dangerous levels of water, electrolytes, and waste products in the body.
